Course Overview:
This World History course will provide an overview of World history from A.D. 1500 to the present. Throughout the year the focus will be on the analysis and interpretation of the major eras and important turning points in world history from the Renaissance to the present to develop an understanding of the complexity of the human experience. This course is also intended to develop students’ communication and reasoning skills through activities requiring reading, writing, oral presentations, group work, map and graph interpretation, and critical analysis of historical sources and artifacts.
